Weekends: Korokke & chilling @ Green Co. @ Leederville.

The time has come again.  Exam is exactly one month’s time away. Gosh @.@! Time is simply ticking away! However I was inspired enough to wake up early and prepare some potato croquettes for brekkie.  The croquettes were divided into two very unpopular choices.  Salty with perfect texture or mild salt with bread texture fk!

Nonetheless, after making the first horrible batch which did not have the correct texture, I braved myself for one more try with garlic salt (in which I put a little too much).  But it was PERFECT this time.  Just the way the Japanese love their Korokke.

The end result of these salty ones were delicious in texture and flavour but it just a tad too much salt!  After that I begin my assault on the never ending assignments :(!  But god I cannot let myself be slave to the books can’t I?  My sister dropped by and we headed to Leederville for a drink after my dinner of fried noodles and chicken in which YH prepared nicely!

As tilted as the picture is, I turned my head as much when I was tasting it.  Did not taste good at all :(!  No wonder I’ve heard complains about this place being crappy for cakes!

Back to reality.  TOmorrow is another Monday.

Hangin Out: Caesar’s Pizza @ Leederville.

I believe you’ve heard of Caesar’s Pizza tones of times if you’re from Perth.  The only thing wrong about the heading is that Leederville is only 5 minutes from Perth instead of the 45 minutes Mundaring.  But hell yea people, my protest about ridiculous distance have finally been heard!!!… and answered!! Caesar’s Pizza one of the most famous Pizzerias has opened a branch in Leederville just located a few shops from the Green & Co!! Without much hesitation Yobi and I decided to give it a try.

Bragging rights clearly framed on its bright red walls.  I was expecting an old skool pizza place but they had a different approach to this one it seems.  A more up market modern look to captivate the younger generation it seems.  But the old man and his mates were attracted too! ahah. Fakkkkkk, what’s with “seems” and me today! Dammit!

Yobi and I ordered a Pizza called Jane’s Addiction.

Loved: The crispy proscuitto, tasty garlic cream sauce, & yummy prawns.

Dislike:  Typical dry Italian crust.

Nonetheless the edges which were dry really isn’t a bother.  It was just a waste.  Maybe next time they should have the option where diners are allowed have toppings all the way to the edge!  After that we waited for our dessert pizza which took ages to come.   Look around, and realise the place was a chick magnet.  Plenty of em there! And oh I met a uni friend there too.  Didn’t get to chat too much though ahah. 

Severe sugar overload.  Felt like dying after I had three slices of this pizza.  Total killa!

So was this place worth all the hype?  Well, overall I found this place to be quite a nice eat.  Quite rash to judge them so as I’ve only eaten here once.  HOWEVER, if this were to be in Mundaring, I wouldn’t be too pleased then ahah.  Also I’ve seen reviews online claiming that the waitresses weren’t too friendly and I HEREBY refute all those statements.  I mean really, which waitress would so happily refill you water without even having to ask AND which pizza place would actually change your plates when you’re moving from your main to your dessert? NONE for sure.  Loved the service!  Or maybe it was just today. ahaha

Bites: Jus Burger @ Leederville

Gawddddd today was so stupid! Went to my office but took the wrong bus back oh man @.@!  Ended up going so deep into Claremont and Subiaco suburb that I was able to see horses.  But the very friendly bus driver and I had a chat about life in Australia. Him being from England and stuff.  Great chat!  Yesterday I had one of those “bros” outing with Yobi!  We had lunch and shit before walking about in Leederville.  For something a little different, we decided to eat something without rice or noodle.  So yea, why not have burgers! Yummy burgers ^^.

 

 

It was about noon and we were ready to depart! Did not really know which train platform we were supposed to go to, but oh well! I used my memory and somehow we managed to get on the right platform lulz!  The waitress  there changed from punk-emo to pretty-retro. YUMS! ok jk.  But one thing I’m not joking is that there is this Chinese guy working there, he cannot stop picking on the food omg! I was most WTF when he wanted to eat one onion ring but he did not want the aioli sauce so he took one sauce plate, poured tomato sauce and had that piece of onion ring =.=”.

 

My original lamb burger @ 11 bucks! Not the prettiest thing but it was yums! The chutney-mint sauce combo was not as bad as mint sauce normally is for me!  This burger is totally awesome.  I  came here last week and had cheese burger with blue cheese and mushrooms! Gawddddd! So delish!!  Yobi had the beef hamburger.  Full on meat patty but he said it was not salty enough ahah.

 

rawks!! Can you see Yobi’s watch? It’s a Casio Databank Calculator watch man! Wonder who bought that for him! WAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA.  The burger were large in my opinion. I went from zero to full tank and yet I could not finish my burger.  Then the waitress was like “Hey, even I can eat one entire burger myself”. And some other stuff. And when we left she said something like “hey! Make sure you come here for your burgers again.., And finsh it”. With that Yobi concluded that she was hitting on me @.@! Lameeeeeeee!

 

This was my errr… Onion rings mmm but the Chinese guy did not sprinkle salt on top or maybe there isn’t meant to be any on top! No idea @@! But the last time I had it, there was salt.  I really like the onion ring here! Yummmmmm!!

 

Jus burger was my first stop for my burger tour! I’m happy with the burger there.  I think most people are so happy that within a year, a second branch has open @ Subiaco.  Just a stone’s throw from the train station!  But even then I'm still ready to go on my burger tour! What’s left hmmmmmm! Ahh Alfred’s Kitchen and Flipside!  

 

Haihhhhhhhhh! The week will start to get really busy!  Cheryl’s last week of work but it is the start for me! Working in the city meeting working people! So anxious yet so excited!  But the bus to and back from work is horrible! It’s like ackkk! Everyone looks like their brains got sucked or something.. noooooooooooooooooo! We’ll see what happens soon!
